A night on the Las Vegas strip
In January 2024, I traveled to Las Vegas for one of the biggest tech events in the world—CES (Consumer Electronics Show). CES 2024 took place from January 9 to January 12 and brought in 138,789 attendees, including 80,000 industry professionals and 5,000 media members. It was incredible to be a part of such a global event, with over 56,000 people coming from outside the United States, setting a new record for international participation. But it wasn’t all about technology. While CES was packed with futuristic gadgets and exciting innovations, the real magic happened when the sun went down, and the famous Las Vegas Strip lit up the night. The Strip is a world of its own—a vibrant, neon-filled stretch lined with hotels, casinos, and attractions. The image above captures one of my favorite moments from the trip. You can see some of the iconic landmarks, like The Venetian, which looks like something straight out of Venice, with its canals and gondolas. Right next to it, you’ll spot Harrah's, another popular casino, and The Mirage, a classic Las Vegas destination known for its shows and nightlife. What really stands out on the Strip at night is the energy. Everything glows with light—hotels, signs, and even the streets themselves as cars rush by, leaving trails of red and white lights in long-exposure photos. It’s a sight that perfectly captures the lively, non-stop vibe of Las Vegas. After spending my days immersed in all the latest tech at CES, the Strip was the perfect place to unwind. Las Vegas is a place where you can see cutting-edge technology during the day and enjoy world-class entertainment at night. From delicious food to incredible shows and attractions, there's always something to do or see. Whether you're in Vegas for an event like CES or just visiting, walking the Strip at night is a must. The lights, the energy, and the unique atmosphere make it a one-of-a-kind experience that you'll remember long after your trip is over. Tampa Electric Company (TECO) has long been a vital part of the Tampa Bay community, providing reliable electricity to homes and businesses for over 120 years. The center offers an up-close look at the manatees as they bask in the warm waters.
